Excerpt from the Augeo Luminaries Speaker Series with Craig Kielburger, Co-founder, WE.org

As the holiday season enters full swing, thoughts of appreciation fill our minds and warm our hearts. We review and recount the deeds of the past year. Some tally the score of who was naughty and who was nice. At Augeo, we deploy platforms that connect people, motivate engagement, and facilitate meaningful interactions. These important moments, ones that strengthen relationships, lie at the foundation of our business. Whether it’s a brand trying to increase customer loyalty, a company trying to engage their workforce, or an organization trying to encourage greater membership participation, we are dedicated to finding ways to deliver real value and make an impact.

A few years ago, in conjunction with the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, Augeo created the Luminary Speakers Series. Each Fall we highlight the value of disruptive thinking and offer new ideas to the social discourse.

This year we were privileged to feature Craig Kielburger, co-founder of WE.org. WE is a movement that believes when people come together, we can create an even better world. The WE Movement connects people to causes and gives them the tools to change the world. Today, WE involves millions of passionate youth, women and men working together to shift the world from “me” to “we.”

While Craig’s uplifting talk covered a wide range of topics, there was one, short, highly inspiring section that struck a chord with me. It had to do with making a significant impact and a concept where people gather for the common good called “Minga”. Learn about Minga in this short video clip.
