Gerard Hardiman

VP, Finance

Gerard Hardiman serves as the VP of Finance at Augeo, overseeing the financial operations, teams and budgeting for the company’s financial services loyalty platform. Currently based in Nashville, Gerard began his work with Augeo as the Controller of edo, subsequently acquired by Augeo, and later acting CFO of the card-linked loyalty business managing the billing process, cash flow and budgeting. Prior to his leadership roles at Augeo, Gerard held leadership positions with a large-scale operation in Sarbanes-Oxley testing and External SEC Reporting at Iron Mountain headquarters and worked on the public offering process at a pre-IPO software company. Gerard began his career in finance and accounting with Grant Thornton, LLP in Boston, MA in the Audit and Assurance department, auditing small and medium closely-held and large public companies for various industries including not-for-profits, manufacturing and technology companies.

Heidi Young

VP, Sales and Strategic Partnerships

Heidi Young is the Vice President of Sales & Strategic Partnerships with Augeo. She joined the Augeo team during the acquisition of RewardsNOW, where she served as the Director of Sales. In her current role, Heidi is responsible for leading all financial institution loyalty sales efforts. Heidi works directly with C-level financial institution executives to demonstrate the programmatic and financial benefits of the Augeo platform. Heidi manages the relationships with Augeo’s key strategic partners on sales and program expansion, program performance, strategic product initiatives and contract renewals. Prior to joining Augeo, Ms. Young served as the Senior Loyalty Product Manager at Metavante Corporation where she was responsible for the overall loyalty program performance, business development and sales within existing clients as well as new prospects. Heidi was also responsible for the direct management of the loyalty support teams, including portfolio management and optimization, implementations, product management and loyalty operations.

Megan Zuber

VP, Client Services

Megan Zuber joined Augeo in June 2015 and currently serves as the VP of Client Services. In her role, she leads the Account Management team responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing support of all Financial Institution client programs. Megan manages client strategy sessions, marketing, quarterly and annual reviews, ensures streamlined and efficient workflows, investigates and expedites client requests and solutions. Prior to joining Augeo, Megan served as the VP of Loyalty at Vantiv, the largest US merchant acquirer, for 12 years managing all loyalty programs, card enhancement benefit programs and card marketing. Megan also managed the marketing team at CMC (acquired by Vantiv) which assisted credit/debit card clients with loyalty strategies, developed a marketing portal for clients and planned all client conferences. During her tenure at Vantiv, Megan was an active participant in the Women’s Business Network, Financial Institutions Advisory Committee and Employee Engagement Team. Ms. Zuber also worked at HUB International managing the Midwest division advertising/PR, all insurance carrier/broker contracts and profit sharing execution. During her tenure at HUB, Megan managed the United Way campaign and all client and company events. Megan earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business along with a minor in Sociology.

Sara Messerli

HR Director

Sara comes to Augeo with over twelve years of diverse human resources experience in both large and small organizations with a specialization in talent management including workforce planning, recruiting, performance management, employee development and employee engagement. She also has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives and policy design. Sara is the “go to” person for all HR matters at Augeo, employing an approachable and “can-do” service minded attitude across all levels of the organization. Sara earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in History from Metropolitan State and a Masters of Organizational Leadership from the University of Northwestern-St. Paul. She also holds a Society for Human Resource Management–Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification. Outside of work Sara enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her husband and three children.

Scott Moore

Chief Operating Officer

Scott Moore is the Chief Operating Officer of Augeo where he leads the operational, technology and strategic business development functions as well as the company’s advertising agency. Prior to Augeo, he served as the President of M32 Partners; a strategic advisory group serving clients in the AI, e-commerce and digital marketing sectors. Moore spent over a decade at Best Buy where he both led marketing for the company during Phase I of the Renew Blue turn around and served as Marketing Officer for Best Buy Mobile. He also served as the Vice President, Merchant & Marketing at Best Buy where he led marketing for the computer, tablet and mobile phone categories and had P&L responsibility for Best Buy’s “Connected Accessory” business. He has held leadership positions with Best Buy Advertising, Hunt Adkins and Fallon Worldwide. He is an active angel investor. He began his career as a Teach For America corps member working in the Houston Independent School District. He subsequently served as regional director for TFA New Jersey and was a founding board member for KIPP Stand Academy. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University.

Kevin Sagon

VP, Engineering

Kevin Sagon joined Augeo in January of 2016, as part of the acquisition of edo Interactive, as Vice President of Engineering for the Financial Institution line of business. In his role Kevin is responsible for the delivery and operation of the Financial Institution Loyalty technology strategy and platforms, leading a team of developers, infrastructure experts, project managers, security experts and data analysts. Prior to joining Augeo, Mr. Sagon served as VP of Engineering for edo Interactive where he was responsible for the strategy and delivery of the Card Linked Loyalty financial products platform. Mr. Sagon also served as VP of Engineering Global FX at Bank of America and Director of Platform and Architecture at Firm58. He has also held lead architectural roles at Advanced Objects, CNA and Cap Gemini / Ernst & Young. Kevin holds a BS in Economics and a BS in Information Systems Engineering from the University of Iowa.

Chris Herbst

VP, National Sales & Business Insights

Chris Herbst has spent his career helping companies across several industries make strategic marketing decisions based on data-driven analytics and research. As a strategic advisor, Chris consults directly with Augeo’s merchant clients to build and execute card-linked loyalty program strategies that drive quantifiable business results. Chris also leads a team of analysts, playing a critical role in innovating analytical and reporting capabilities that prove the value of merchant partnerships with Augeo. Chris earned a Bachelor of Science from DePaul University with degrees in both Finance and Marketing.

Jeff Norem

VP/CISO

Jeff is a cyber security leader with more than 15 years of experience in security, privacy, fraud and risk management across multiple industries and fortune 500 organizations. He is currently responsible for the enterprise security program at Augeo, where our vision is to ensure we proactively understand and manage the threats and risks to Augeo, our affiliates and our customer information. Jeff’s career focus has been implementing mature risk-based security programs that align with business objectives. Jeff holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and is an active member in the global security community as a member on boards, publishing security articles and as a guest speaker at data protection conferences. He has been instrumental in the creation of enterprise risk management programs, design of secure private cloud environments and the implementation of mature security incident response & investigations programs.

Mike Bowles

Senior Director, Operations

Mike has more than fifteen years of experience within the operations team at Incentive Logic and has become an expert in providing end-to- end incentive rewards fulfillment solutions. His extensive background with incentive solutions has provided him with experience filling roles in customer support, order fulfillment, and merchandising. Mike is responsible for a vast network of vendors and suppliers both domestically and internationally. Mike is a graduate of Christian Brothers University and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Laura Poulson

Senior Director, Client Services

Laura Poulson brings twenty years of experience in management and technical solution implementation. She’s proven to be an integral leader in the inception, construction, and application of custom rewards programs. Laura employs a fresh outlook to each project and ensures that solutions are tailored to fit the specific business goals and the technological capabilities of each client. Laura and her team are responsible for the development, implementation, technical support and ongoing results of all client programs and work closely with each account manager to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Laura is a graduate of Arizona State University.

Katie Kelley

Director, Client Services

Katie Kelley works with Augeo clients in various industries to solve marketing problems with creativity and strategic insight. She provides brand, product and marketing strategy support to clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to emerging start-ups while leading a team of brand builders focused on creating value for Augeo’s partners through digital marketing, innovation and incubation services. Katie earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of St. Thomas in Communication Journalism and Business Administration.

Tom Wessling

Chief Strategy Officer

Tom is a senior leader with a highly accomplished record of running major organizations. With a broad range of skills in sales and marketing, he has demonstrated a measurable success throughout his career in building businesses and teams that consistently exceed financial goals. His proven ability to lead and motivate, utilizing strategic skills and innovative processes, has contributed to the growth of numerous Fortune 500 companies. Tom joined Augeo with the acquisition of Performance Plus, where he drove agency strategy, sales, marketing, and product development. This included the development and launch of the innovative and successful employee engagement application, Ideas at Work. Tom has been a contributing editor to a college textbook now in its 5th edition, Sports Marketing: A Strategic Perspective, and a frequent guest lecturer at Georgia Tech, University of Dayton, as well as Northern Kentucky University’s MBA programs. He has been the recipient of numerous industry awards and received his BSS in marketing from Ohio University, Athens.

Dan Councill

VP, Technology

Dan leads the IT team in Augeo’s Atlanta office and is involved in the day to day operations of Augeo’s incentives division. He strengthens Augeo with nearly 20 years of experience in programming and technology, with half of those years spent specifically in the performance incentives arena. Dan excels in understanding and capturing our clients’ wants and needs. He and his team then apply that information to expertly craft custom, leading technology solutions. Apart from building websites and exceeding client expectations, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and cooking up a storm on his Big Green Egg.

John Sirvydas

VP, Strategic Platform Development

John has over 25 years of development, management and consulting experience and provides results-driven experience to Augeo's strategic and enterprise technology initiatives. John has been involved with numerous startup, early stage and equity- backed technology companies. Throughout his career, he has focused in the areas of technical and business architecture development, technology diligence, technology integration, and software development processes and their application to fulfilling corporate business initiatives. John brings a pragmatic management style coupled with an entrepreneurial approach to working with executive teams and board members.  Prior to joining the Augeo team, John has held the CTO position at RewardsNOW, Inc, Clear Blue Security, LLC, Zaio Corporation, Realink Corporation and Sema4, Inc. John is responsible for Augeo's card-linked offers platform and works with his IT counterparts to continuously enhance and evolve Augeo's technology architecture. John holds a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

Steven Van Fleet

President, Card-Linked Offers

Steve has been President and CEO since 2006 of RewardsNOW, Inc, a leader in the financial services loyalty space. With over 30 years in the financial services and EFT industry, Steve has been instrumental in the creation, launch and management of numerous financial products and services in his roles for First Data Merchant Services and MasterCard International, where he was instrumental in managing the launch and growth of the Cirrus ATM and Maestro POS branded networks. Before MasterCard, Steve managed all operational aspects of the Pulse regional payments network ATM and POS network. From an earlier role at Diebold pioneering the first ATM systems, and throughout his broad career across all aspects of the payments industry, Steve has been at the forefront of setting the standard for molding new technology and ideas into widespread availability to consumers and businesses alike. As a result, Steve is asked to be a frequent industry speaker and to advise multiple payments company boards. Steve’s academic background includes Summa Cum Laude at Northern Arizona with a business degree in both marketing and information systems, an MBA in MIS, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Houston, and a Juris Doctorate from DePaul University. Steve is a member of the Connecticut Bar and spends much of his free time with his family and outdoors.

Brian Anderson

VP of Operations

Brian Anderson joined Augeo in June of 2012 through the acquisition of Consumer Benefit Services, Inc. (CBSI), where he began in 1997, and currently serves as Augeo’s VP of Operations. In his leadership role, Brian manages Augeo’s implementation teams and all critical steps in new program rollouts, all client reporting efforts, Augeo’s admin portal, the print production department where over 3.5 million pieces of communication/mail is created and sent each year, as well as overseeing the operations of the physical building in Naperville, IL. In addition, Brian is involved in nearly all new client contracts and RFPs. During his tenure at Augeo, Brian has served in various key roles including credit/debit card portfolio analysis, drafting and negotiating agreements, negotiating the merchandise, gift card and travel redemptions categories, managing the annual client due diligent process and leading the efforts to ensure adherence to all compliance requirements. Prior to Augeo, Brian spent five years at AmeriShop as an Account Manager. Brian attended Eastern Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Economics, with an emphasis in Banking.

Mike Knoop

President, Augeo FI Loyalty Division

Mike Knoop joined Augeo in 2006 and has served as President of Augeo’s FI Loyalty Division since October 2014. Previous to Augeo, Mike was a co-founder of BenefitProtect, one of the nation’s first health exchange platforms, now AugeoBenefits. For most of Mike's professional career, he has been assisting clients in developing innovative "outside the box" solutions. Before becoming President of FI Loyalty for Augeo, he held many positions at Augeo including leading the affinity insurances business and leading the development of their fan mobile app in the sports marketing space called FaniAm. In each role with, and prior to, Augeo, Mr. Knoop has been successful in driving top line revenue and profitability, developing industry respected executive teams, while keeping an eye on product innovation. As President, Mike has worked to establish several multimillion dollar partnership relationships with key strategic organizations such as VISA DPS and TMG (now COOP), generating double digit growth year over year. Mike also works with several non-profit organizations, including serving as former President of the Board for one of the largest Arizona-based Little League Organizations. Mike attended the University of Kentucky.

Juliann Gilbert

VP, Corporate Marketing

Juli has 9 years of experience in the loyalty and engagement industries and leads a marketing team supporting all corporate and client marketing initiatives. She provides strategic direction and communications for Augeo’s B2B and B2C initiatives, product launches and roadmaps, implementations, public relations and media. She has successfully implemented loyalty and engagement solutions across Augeo for hundreds of clients including website development, marketing collateral and ongoing promotional campaigns. Juli attended St. Ambrose University in Iowa, double majoring with a BA in Marketing and Management, in addition to a minor in Organizational Leadership.

Bill Morency

Director, Technology

Bill leads the IT team in Augeo’s Naperville office and provides leadership and management expertise in the strategy, definition, and execution of enterprise level technology-heavy projects. Bill and his team support Augeo's financial institution loyalty and membership services business units and underlying systems and processes. His base goals are to develop, implement and support best practice methods for: project management, solutions delivery, software development, application support, security, and compliance. Bill promotes continuous improvement in the technology delivery execution process to raise systems quality and performance and ensure that IT service meets agreed service levels and PCI and SSAE 16 compliant requirements. Additionally, he focuses on recruiting, building and maintaining a high performing IT team along with managing the technology roadmap. Much of Bill's success hinges on facilitating collaboration among the IT and business teams to prioritize projects driving direction and focus.

Tom White

Director, Technology

Tom is a senior technology professional with over 20 years of experience in web- based software development, management, and technical leadership. Before joining Augeo, Tom worked for Internet Broadcasting where he built, launched, and produced websites for local television stations across the US and Canada. Special initiatives included project management leadership for the national nbcolympics.com website for the Olympic summer games in Athens (2004) and winter games in Torino (2006). Tom also served on the computing staff of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he launched the collegiate website in 1992, one of the first private college websites in the US. Tom is responsible for managing resources and programs for the Augeo employee recognition and rewards platform.

Nathaniel Engelsen

VP, Software Engineering

Nathaniel Engelsen is a veteran technology leader, having entered the IT industry in 1997 and spending his early career as a software developer. His development background leaves him uniquely positioned to understand the challenges faced when building and motivating technology teams. He brings experience in building scalable, high performance software in both responsive web and native mobile platforms. Nathaniel runs the technology teams for Augeo’s loyalty and project incubation divisions, responsible for the platforms and processes running the core loyalty business along with custom marketing ventures. Outside of work Nathaniel infrequently practices the Israeli martial art Krav Maga and runs the PC Gaming area at the Penny Arcade Expo. He has a BS in Management Information Systems from Rowan University.

Randall Wakeford

VP, Client Platform Development

Randall has been involved in the employee recognition and engagement industry for over 15 years. Prior to joining Augeo, he worked at IncentOne in Carlstadt, NJ as Director of Information Management, specializing in working directly with Fortune 50 clients to develop, deploy and maintain customized and integrated recognition solutions that drive business objectives. Prior to IncentOne, Randall was Director of Internet Operations for Faulkner & Gray in New York City, a specialized financial publisher owned by Thomson Financial. Primary responsibilities include working with existing clients to maintain and enhance currently deployed employee engagement solutions and technology, acting as technical subject matter expert during new platform implementations, and providing guidance on product development and sales strategy related to new business opportunities.

Karianne Avila

VP, Operations

Karianne serves as the VP, Business Operations for Augeo. She leads and manages customer service and fulfillment teams across all of Augeo’s many loyalty and recognition programs. Karianne started in 1998 with our sister restaurant company, Embers, and has held numerous positions for both companies in the years following. Karianne attended the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee majoring in International Business with a minor in Spanish.

Brian Zibuda

Senior VP, Membership & Benefits Programs

Brian joined Augeo in 2008 as part of the PerksCard acquisition. He has 30+ years of experience in sales, marketing and customer service, having worked at 3 of the largest insurance companies in the US. Brian’s primary responsibilities include developing new client relationships with a focus on insurance, benefits and discount programs. In addition, Brian supports more than 50 client partnerships in the association and large employer space. Among them are several alumni associations, including his alma mater UCONN. Brian holds a BS in Marketing from the University of CT.

Brian Conroy

Senior Director, Strategic Development

Brian Conroy has 17 years of experience as a senior sales and marketing executive with a successful career of consultative sales, product/service marketing, channel marketing and client relationship management. Brian leads a team of client relationship managers that work directly with Augeo's financial institution clients to provide strategic client direction and dynamic program strategies. Brian is part of the product development team and plays a critical role in developing and managing loyalty, retention and acquisition initiatives for current and potential clients. Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts from the Benedictine University with a degree in Finance and Economics with a minor in Business Leadership and Management.

David Carlson

President, Wholesale Membership

David Carlson has worked with hundreds of clients in the development and implementation of consumer discount and protection programs since 1989. Over the years, these programs have enabled our clients to differentiate themselves from their competitors while adding new revenue streams. The programs have been marketed through direct mail, statement inserts, inbound up-sells, internet, TV and radio by hundreds of organizations, including, call centers, catalog, insurance, magazine, infomercial, financial services, membership organizations, TPA’s and marketing companies. David’s team generates exceptional value to their clients by helping them attain their goals while enabling their customers, policy holders, members and/or employees to save time and money by utilizing the consumer discount and protection programs.

Bob Dow

President, Benefits Program

Over the last 25+ years Bob has worked with over 1,000 major corporations, hospitals, universities and alumni associations developing, managing and maintaining their employee benefits platforms. In addition, Bob has trained hundreds of sales professionals and has spoken to groups nationwide about sales, marketing and employee benefits. Since joining the Augeo family in 2008, Bob and his team have developed a best in class platform, utilized by some of the most recognizable companies in the world. Bob earned his BA from SUNY Geneseo where he majored in Political Science with a minor in English. He has been married to Susan for 28 years and has 2 children and is an avid skier and golfer.

Danny Kristal

VP, Corporate Services/General Counsel

Danny joined Augeo in 2005 from an eight year career as a co-owner of Arkay Construction Company where the company performed commercial general contracting services, including self-performance of masonry, concrete and carpentry services. During his time at Arkay, the company grew from about $8 million to well over $20 million per year in total revenue. Danny's responsibilities include negotiating and drafting agreements for Augeo's clients and organizations, including many Fortune 100 companies. Danny also manages Augeo’s legal matters, HR team, business and health insurance programs and facility operations across all Augeo offices throughout the country. Danny enjoys snowboarding, playing hockey, going to movies and hanging with his wife and three kids.

Jennifer Vanselow

VP, Finance

Jennifer began with Augeo’s sister company, Embers, 18 years ago, and has been with Augeo ever since its inception in 1998. Throughout her years with both companies, Jennifer has worked in all areas of accounting, human resources and finance. Currently, Jennifer leads Augeo’s finance team, as well as manages the company’s financials and cash flows. Jennifer is an active member of the Institute of Management Accountants. She holds a BS in Accounting from Augsburg College, and is a Certified Managerial Accountant.

Tim Miller

President, Employee and Member Solutions

Tim joined Augeo in 2008 when Augeo acquired BenefitProtect, he was one of the founders. His role at Augeo has expanded to oversee the insurance and discount network operations team based in Phoenix, Arizona. Having 25+ years of experience in sales and marketing, Tim has spent the last 15 years concentrating in the healthcare and insurance marketplace. Tim graduated from James Madison University in 1988 with a BS in Marketing. The insurance discount network team consistently secures launches and manages the optimal benefits for many of our largest clients and their members or employees.

Boris Kopilenko

VP, Information Technology

Boris is a senior technology professional with over 17 years of experience in application development, technical leadership, project management, and systems implementations. Prior to joining Augeo, Boris worked for UnitedHealth Group in the OptumHealth Care Solutions business unit where he was Director of Business Reporting. There he ran an international team of resources charged with building a new clinical data mart for UnitedHealth Group. Boris is responsible for Augeo’s IT Development, IT Infrastructure, BI and PMO teams. His teams are responsible for building and maintaining the platforms that run each Augeo program. His teams work closely with our business unit leaders and client relationship managers, to ensure that our platforms meet our client needs, and deliver best in class solutions. Boris earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.

Erik Sorensen

Chief of Product Delivery

Erik, based in Chicago, joined the Augeo team in 2005 and leads the Augeo Product Group. He and his team are responsible for innovating, developing, enhancing and delivering products and feature functionality to create a powerful mix ultimately fueling Augeo platforms’ engagement with customers, members and employees. Erik and his team’s focus is tying together client objectives, industry best practices and user experience to create a memorable, emotional and social connection as users interact with Augeo platforms, rewards, call support center, strategic supplier and vendor partner community and, most importantly, our clients’ brands. Our group takes great care to ensure our users experience, regardless of connection point, appropriately represents the leading client brands we have the privilege to support. Prior to joining Augeo, Erik led marketing in the Midwest Region for The Princeton Review responsible for delivering educational products to universities and large school districts and earned a BA from University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Amy Murphy

President, Augeo Digital

Amy has been part of the Augeo team since 2001. With over 20 years in both B2B and B2C product and service marketing, she brings broad experience and creativity to Augeo’s clients, communications, products and programs. Focusing on innovative and market-specific engagement platforms, much of Amy’s time at Augeo is spent with the development team designing, building and implementing new, and often data intensive, engagement and loyalty platforms for Augeo and our clients. Amy holds a BS in Business from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

Rita DiPalma

Chief Sales Officer

Rita joins Augeo with 25 years of experience in direct marketing, working with top tier US and international brands in the development, marketing, and execution of loyalty solutions. Rita served as Senior Vice President at Vertrue, a premier marketer of membership programs. During her 20 year tenure at Vertrue, she managed key operating divisions including Client Management, Product Marketing, Business Development, and Marketing. As Chief Development Officer, Rita has broad and comprehensive knowledge of matters relating to Augeo’s business with a focus on identifying new business prospects, driving organizational growth, developing marketing strategy, and securing requirements for product development and execution. Rita manages and works closely with cross-functional teams to execute new client loyalty solutions, membership programs, incentive platforms and corporate progression initiatives. Rita received both a BBA in Management and MBA in Marketing from Pace University. She is based out of Augeo’s Manhattan office.

Kenneth Greer

Chief Marketing Officer

Kenneth Greer is a change agent, trend visionary, technology geek and creative spark. He’s known as the “go to guy” for big ideas. Ken’s one-of- a-kind combination of creative and strategic marketing skills has been the driving force behind the transformation of both consumer and business-to- business enterprises. Ken holds a Master’s Degree from Stanford University and is nationally recognized for innovative thinking and a unique ability to create compelling brand value. In addition to his duties as Chief Marketing Officer, Kenneth Greer is the President of Augeo+Greer, a Brand Strategy and Communications Design Agency.

Juan Sabater

Principal & Co-Chairman

Juan joined Augeo in June 2006 as an investor and officer in the company. He supports and leads Augeo’s development team in identifying and developing new client and strategic relationships, as well as in other administrative functions. He also serves as a Senior Adviser to Valor Equity Partners, a private equity firm based in Chicago, and is on the Board of Directors of Uretek, a specialty Fabrics Company headquartered in New Haven, Connecticut.

David Kristal

CEO & Co-Chairman

David is the founder and CEO of Augeo, and Co-Chairs the company with Juan. He leads Augeo’s new ideas origination efforts and drives the parallel strategic and technological innovations. In his role, David is active in all aspects of the firm’s activities. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, and Stanford University’s School of Law. He began his career at the law firm of Winthrop & Weinstine, PA. David is very active in philanthropic activities and serves as a voluntary member on a number of boards. He also actively participates in early stage commercial efforts, from time to time serving on their boards or supporting these ventures through Augeo.
